About Erik & Paws
Erik & Paws didn't start with a business plan. It started with our customers asking.
How it began
It started because you asked us to.
For years, people who loved Mika & Sammy's Gourmet Pet Treats kept telling us the same thing:
"We're scared of the supplement aisle. We don't know what's actually in the bottle, where it's coming from, or whether anyone qualified ever looked at the formula. But we trust you guys. Could you make something for us?"
We heard it enough times that we couldn't ignore it. So we got to work.
The family behind it
Named after our two kids. Built by our whole family.
Mika & Sammy's is our family business, named after our two kids. Sammy is special needs and was terrified of dogs, so when a therapist suggested getting one, we took the leap. Marley changed everything.
But Marley was picky and had food sensitivities, and nothing on the shelves was good enough. So we started making treats for him on the side of our home. Word got out. Neighbors wanted some. A local pet store owner tried them and asked to carry them.
Today, Mika & Sammy's is one of the most popular DTC brands for American-made, single-ingredient chews in the country.
